VLC media player is one of the most well-known movie and audio players in the world, which is now available for your mobile device. With this app you can play almost all media files but also discs, devices and network streaming protocols.

The developers work continuously to improve this app and to create more features that you will appreciate and need. That being said, this version is not perfect and you will use it at your own risk.

VLC media player plays audio and video and is compatible with your Android device, whether you’re using it on mobile or tablet, entirely for free. You can access the media library to see which video and audio files are available, as well as browse folders easily.

The app supports subtitles, multi-track audio as well as auto-rotation, aspect-ratio adjustments and gestures to control your files’ volume or brightness. You can also get a widget specifically for audio control, as the app is also compatible with your audio headset control, cover art and has a complete audio media library.

If you’re used to VLC media player for desktop, you might notice that some of its usual features are missing, but rest assure as we’re working to add them to the mobile format. These features include a lack of hardware decoding which works only with a limited set of hardware, among others.
